I have never had an experience like this at a La Quinta. They cancelled our reservation the morning of. On top of this, during check in time, La Quinta sent us a CONFIRMATION email. I don't understand how guests have to leave a 24 hour cancellation notice but the hotel can cancel our reservation the morning of? They said they tried to contact us by phone but there was no phone number on file (which was incorrect). We used points to book this room. So I booked a room 2 days in adavance here. On day of I received a confirmation email at 3PM and then when I go to check in around 6PM (after a 11 hour drive) they told me that they canceled my resevation. They didn't even bother to contact me to let me know that the room was canceled. The front desk staff didnt even anything execpt SOL.
