I love privacy without the attention of the workers
The place is pretty dirty especially the hallway carpets and the doors. Pillows are all lumped up and bedding shows over usage. Definitely the owner is not spending anything on the upkeep of this place. The worst motel I have stayed in so far, paid about 100 bucks but I would say it was still expensive for what I got. Hostels would be much better kept than a hotel room like this. On the upside, no visible stains on beds and room carpets, bathroom was clean as well although very poor condition.
First of all, the area felt unsafe with homeless people hanging about and the hotel exterior in complete disrepair (the La Quinta sign was even missing from the building) but the room itself was terrible - the bottom of the bathtub was either filthy or stained dark grey and paint and sheetrock peeling around it. Was 10/10 for the night because it was the only hotel with a vacancy but will never stay there again. 2/10 otherwise. Customer service at check in was good. Pool was fine. But that was it. Hotel is super dirty & the bed needed replaced about 20 years ago. Breakfast was ok. $200 + $150 deposit hold was a bit far stretched for a room only worth about $100.
I reserved a room a week in advanced for 2 beds for 3 adults (my husband and best friend and I) for 2 nights. When I showed up for my reservation about midnight. Front desk told me they didn't have any 2 beds left and they tried to call me and couldn't get ahold of me. When I told them I never had a missed call or email. The front desk person looked in the logs and realized the person who wrote that comment didn't have my number in the call log.
