First of all, I would just like to say that the staff is very pleasant… Very kind and courteous. This star rating is really about the hotel, the hallways, the bathroom, and the breakfast buffet. We moved a child into college, and stayed here. There are posters throughout the hotel stating that a “better and newer look is coming soon”. Thank goodness, but I don’t think I will ever stay here again. We were on the fifth floor and it took so long for the elevator to come up and down that we often took the stairs. Avoid this hotel! I paid $300 for a filthy, outdated room while my family upstairs had a renovated room for $200. No one told us the hotel was under renovation, as well as the side entrance was left wide open for days and the elevator had broken handles with exposed wires. Staff was rude and unhelpful (“Nothing I can do, whatelse”), and no one was at the desk at night. Even after confirming late checkout, housekeeping tried to enter my room twice before 1 PM. Unfortunately, I was in town for a funeral. I did request a renovated room as I read the hotel was going through renovations. I found the room to be clean and the beds were very comfortable. It would be better if they had a shelf for your hygiene products in the shower, but that's a little nitpicky observation. The housekeeping staff serviced the room during my stay, ensuring I had ample clean towels. The breakfast selection was redundant each morning, but it was good. It was kept stocked and tidy.
