I decided to stop in for lunch and try their Peru bowl with grilled chicken. The woman who took my order was very friendly and kind and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately I found that the value for my meal did not match the cost. I had a medium iced tea and a Peru bowl with grilled chicken and my total came out to be over 28 dollars! Food is very good.
We used to come to La Qchara pretty frequently and always enjoyed it but unfortunately it hasn’t felt as consistent lately. The food doesn’t taste quite as good as it used to and the staff seems to be different almost every time we visit. On our most recent visit, I specifically ordered dishes with plantains because that was what I was craving, but they came with yucca instead. I only got a chai and it was undrinkable. I took a sip, walked out, and threw it away. Can’t comment on the coffee or food, but seriously avoid the chai. Nasty.
Great experience. Friendly staff. Amazing food. Looking forward to next visit. Highly recommend.
