Atmosphere was the usual. Waiter didn’t speak English well enough which I’m willing to work with but not at the cost of what I’m paying for. Asked for steak quesadilla, got cheese. Then said I’ll just get a steak fajita and figured I’d just give my wife the cheese quesadilla. Dude came out with everything to go. I said I’d just eat the fajita now, he brought is back and it came out cold. Usually I have a decent experience here. This was all around not good. Rough experience and it was $70-ish without tip
This cozy place deserves more than 5*. It is everything that makes a perfect dinning experience. It has a bar and a roomy, clean, dinning room not only that the menu selection, friendly service, and very fair price. The quiet&romantic location (close to the lagoon) and ample parking space also make the place more and more appealing. We would drive thru the Caldecutt tunnel to come here to have lunch or/and dinner, that good!
If you don’t look Latino don’t bother speaking Spanish with them. One hostess played dumb when I spoke Spanish to her and pretended she didn’t understand me. This is the typical treatment I get everywhere as someone who “doesn’t look like I speak the language.” I have been coming here for a while, so I knew that all the workers spoke Spanish since I’ve seen them conversing with each other.
