It’s been a few years since we’ve been here. The chile rellenos were top notch and the pechuga en mole was outstanding. I don’t remember the food being this good! And the place was absolutely PACKED for Wednesday lunch.
Food was good, but the service was lacking which is unusual. Never checked on us, refilled our empty glasses or the chips or asked if we wanted dessert or anything else. Disappointing!
We just left the La Parilla Suiza on East Speedway after purchasing dinner for our party of 9. We had a ValPak coupon for one free entree. The manager refused to honor it because it is a digital coupon. The app gives you the option of printing the coupon or adding it to ApplePay. I added it to Apple Wallet as well as showed them the actual coupon in the app. Why do you offer a coupon through ValPack which offers the digital coupon option if you are not going to honor it? The tamales were not sweet! They used to be. That’s why I would go. The waiter seemed like he was bothered when we would ask for something like napkins!!!!
Love the food here, my favorite in the area so far.
*********************BEWARE****************** I went there today and ate part of my appetizer and then got my main meal. I was maybe a quarter done with my meal when i started to choke on something that was in my food. I reached in my throat and pulled out a plastic baggy with a knot tied on the end. My wife then started to look through her food and then found a string in hers. I would suggest to find another mexican Restaurant to eat at! Everyone check your food before eating here!!
I've been coming here for the last 20+ years and I've never been ignored! Mind you me and my friend and these other two people (who were right next to us) were the only ones there, they got served but we never did! Like wth? We got waters and chips and salsa but that was it. The waitress kept coming by to check on the other table but never ONCE asked us what we wanted.
