I stopped by la monarca recently because I had heard good things about their mexican pastries. The conchas and coffee were decent, the concha was soft and the coffee had a nice cinnamon flavor. The staff was friendlybut the place felt a bit crowded and disorganized, and it took longer than I expected to get my order. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re in the area and want a quick treat, but I expected a little more for the price and the hype.

In my opinion the bread is over priced. The cheapest piece of bread is $2.99. For the five pieces of bread we got we paid a little ... read more

Eloisa @ Lincoln Heights Monarca Bakery and Cafe was so nice. She helped us out through the menu. We got to choose something really delicious to drink thanks to her. I would definitely come back thanks to her. She was so friendly. She was also very clean.... love this in someone who is preparing your food. The shop was clean; great atmosphere.
