Best Italian food I've ever had: authentic, simple, and divine. Not to mention, the service and staff (particularly David) were incredibly welcoming and a joy to be around. However, I think it's most important to mention, my husband wants his "ashes spread here after (he) passes," which may or may not be an exaggeration... Thank you for a most memorable experience.
I have always had a great meal and a great time, whenever I have gone here! I've taken clients, family and friends here and everyone has enjoyed it. Can't wait to go again!
It's not a white tablecloth restaurant but if you like great Italian food and service I highly recommend La Mela. The chicken parm was outstanding. The portions are huge

I absolutely LOVED this place. We sat outside and David made our lunch very enjoyable with his humor and wit. We are already planning another trip to New York and this restaurant is on our list again.

What a great time we had. This is now our favorite restaurant in Little Italy. David got us in the door with his wit and wisdom. The wait staff was friendly and on the ball. We got to chat with Butch the Hat. Last but not least, the food was magnificent! Bravo!
