Truly outstanding professionalism and care. Having a colonoscopy is not something we look forward to, but LJEC made the experience as smooth and easy as possible. Everyone I dealt with from the first phone call to the day of procedure and the Doc were amazing. Understanding, professional, compassionate, friendly are at the top of the list. A five star review doesn't do this team of pros justice for they way they were. Outstanding!

I had not met Dr Mayer before my procedure, I made my appointment through his PA ( who was also wonderful) I’m so happy I found LA Jolla Gastroenterology. I was extremely worried and it didn’t take long to get an appointment. It was a much better experience then the previous doctor. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer this facility and Dr. to my family and friends.
My wife used this Dr, so I was fortunate to already know how good he was. His staff was wonderful as well. As a 54 year old black man, I was due for a colonoscopy. I was not looking forward to it. The staff greeted me with care, from the first person I saw who asked me all the questions about my medications and prior days prep, to the young woman who started my IV drip, to the person who put me at ease who wheeled me back, and especially the anesthesia nurse who explained how I would go to sleep, and wake up. I had a positive cologuard test and the office kindly squeezed me into the schedule in less than a week helping me get my procedure done before my insurance expires. Office staff was very kind, professional and helped me understand th process of electronic scheduling. The nurses, CRNA and Dr. Mayer and his team were very professional and kind.
