AWFUL!!!! DON'T GO!! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I left this place in tears, they destroyed my hair. I had to go somewhere else that day to get it fixed. It was so uneven at least by 2 inches. I donated my hair to locks of love and asked to do the minimum (10 inches) this lady cut off 13 inches!! Then I told her I wanted it angled and layered and that I hate bobs, and she gave me a bob!!!!! and cut off another 3 inches. It was so bad. She did the complete opposite of what I said. Best salon in town! When I moved to Stamford almost 5 years ago I went to another local salon and hated my haircut, then I found La Jolie and never looked back! Some of the reviews say that La Jolie is expensive, but the cost is comparable to other great salons that I've been too in other states that I've lived in and La Jolie's haircuts are worth every penny. HORRIBLE HAIR SALON I had a horrible experience. The only reason I went back to this salon is because there was a girl there that cut my hair once and I really liked her. She no longer works here (now I know why) and the girl who cut my hair had no idea what she was doing. They knew I was unhappy when I left and did not say anything to me. The manager was so rude to me when I called to tell her I was unhappy with my hair and told me I can pay again for another haircut. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
YES! Love it here. I just tried this place after finding it online. I LOVED it! My hairdresser was Sanela. She cut my hair exactly as I asked (take off 2 inches and smooth out the choppy angle in the front). The burning smell that the other post mentions was from the oil; it wasn't burning hair, which Sanela explained to me. The receptionist was friendly and everyone seemed happy. The worst in Stamford Really expensive, The beautician washed my hair adequately, considering she had long acrylic nails and she put a dime of conditioner in my hair i ask the stylist to add more (since i have a lot of hair,(bad Choice) this women came from nowhere telling me that they know what they were doing and that if i like they would sell me the product an use it right away,What! La Jolie is my favorite!!! I love going to La Jolie Salon and Spa for my hair and wax! Everyone is so friendly and I feel so relaxed there. Tamala does my hair. She is always smiling and I love coming to see her plus my hair always looks awesome! Alexandra does my wax and she is quick! I recommend her to all of my friends. I will never stop going to La Jolie!!!
Customers Beware Very costly. They think they are located on Madison Ave in NYC! Will always try to sell you their over-priced hair products and a few months later, it's a different shampoo, conditioner, etc that's "much better". In addition, there is the latest supplements, diet etc that they try to con you into. Don't think they aren't making it as a hair salon any more, so the owner must resort to all types of other money-making gimmicks.
