We used to love this place, came here every week. But since they revamped the menu it's not as good. Margaritas are never the same from visit to visit. Sometime great, but more often too much mix and once in a while it'll knock you on your bottom they're so strong! Salsa tastes more like tomato sauce now and most of the food simply lacks flavor in general.
I came in hoping to get really good enchiladas, as I'm from Texas and it's been a long time since I've had some. While browsing through the reviews, some said they were good, and a lot of people said the food was good. Yeah if you like bland cafeteria Mexican food, maybe? It's ok, but not what I was expecting. I told him when i ordered. I wanted cheese sauce instead of enchilada sauce on my enchiladas. He charged me 2 extra dollars for cheese sauce, and of course, didn't give me any cheese sauce. My absolute favorite Mexican place in Columbia
La Fuente is mine and my wife’s go-to Mexican restaurant here in Columbia. The service is wonderful, and the food is on point every single time. There’s an element of authenticity here with the decor, the music, the staff. The whole vibe is just a typical authentic Mexican restaurant. Not one bad thing I could say about it. They have indoor seating as well as a patio. They’re always busy but never too busy to be sat right away, at least as far as my experience goes.
