I joined but never used my membership and decided to cancel my wife's and mine. I did mine online with the company, and their website said that for the cancelation to be validated, a letter of cancelation must also be sent to their corporate office, which I also did. They are still charging my credit card. A few weeks ago, I was forced to pay my wife's membership again by phone to be able to cancel her membership. This is the email that I sent to their customer support:I came in 6/26/2023 11am to purchase a gym membership atAustell,GAlocation. I wanted to use the facilities. ****, themanagerintroduceme to PT *******. I told both people Idontwant a personal trainer. I said 20x at least that I wanted to leave. Long story short, they don't follow their own contacts. These people signed me up for personal training, which was a fantastic experience, but I am moving to ********* this month and there are no la fitnesses in the entire state. I physically cannot make it to a la fitness to finish my contract. As the contract states, as long as I am not near a LA fitness for 25 miles and I provide "reasonable evidence" my contract will be voided. A district manager named **** solicited me via text asking me to start a new membership. I have been a member in the past and am currently not.I responded in a dismissive way and instead of acting professional this district manager representing LA Fitness threatened me stating he will send me to collections and proceeded to text me a picture from his phone of my personal information.Regardless of what was said, no professional business acts in this way. I joined 5/1/23 and was given an appt with the head of the Personal Training. I was offered a package, which included; 30 minute personal training, meal plans and weekly check ins. When told the price, $240/month for one yr, I declined. I only needed to lose 10 pounds and tone up. I was told I could freeze the account and stop the training at any time. Esporta on 341 NJ ********************************************* - A lot of equipment is down since Covid reopening and the spa hot tub is out of service for the 6th Month in the row, pool and men's sauna are dirty. Staff is polite, but they don't last more than 3-4 month, some of them are clueless. Front Desk Manager is always looking for excuses and walks away when asked. Using contact email just brings back canned message from the local 'front desk leader'. Very upsetting.

Not at all happy with my experience at LA Fitness. There is a certain level of dishonesty and coercion. Ive been members of fitness clubs since the 80s and back then the businesses were generally unscrupulous. Over the decades, they have generally improved. LA Fitness has not follow that trend. And now they tell me I cannot cancel my membership. Im going to have to cancel my **** card.

I jointed in may at the ******** center and in June 1 they posted that the facility will be closing at the end of June. When I spoke to the head office and spoke to *** he begin to be defensive and would not allow me to speak. Then put me on hold and left me there. When I signed up I was told I had to be a member for 4 months in order to not be charge for early withdrawal they are not honest with the customers and are combative when you challenged them
