My fianc and I decided to start the new year by signing up for the gym. There was an LA fitness about a 5 min drive from our house. We decided to take a tour and we liked the facilities. When we signed up for the membership, they asked us if we wanted a free fitness assessment. At the conclusion of the assessment, they asked if we were interested in personal training. I was given a 5 day personal training trial by the personal training *********** could cancel any time. First day for ***** I show up & theres no trainer available, I go in the next day to cancel nobody is there. Now im trying to cancel but I have to pay 50% when Ive never used this program! & the PT manager ****** recall giving us that 5 day trial because he knows he wasnt doing his job! DONT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING! ITS A SCAM!
False advertising, I received multiple emails for a new membership at $34.99/month. I tried to sign up on their website but it was not allowing me to do it. I walked into their location and was told they could not ***** the price as it has to be done on the website only. The manager tried to sign me up on the website but was not allowing him to do it. I was told its a glitch in their system. I have sent many emails to corporate and still no contact from anyone.
Ive been a customer for three years. Last week I moved from ********* to **. When I walked into the gym in ** I notified them of the move. They told me I had to get a new membership and charged me first and last months fees eventhough when I signed up I was already charged that three years ago. I paid the 108.00$ and went to workout but also called to speak with customer service to explain since the person at the desk didnt seem sure about what he was telling me. As of today, its been about 7 weeks without the mens sauna.The sauna is a big part of my routine.No one knows when it will be fixed...I do not recommend using this location (*********, ga ).
First, I've called corporate numerous times about broken TVs and equipment. No one cares. They already have your money and refuse to fix anything. Second I wanted to downgrade my membership. I was told i would have to cancel my current membership and pay for new one and pay the initiation fee all over again. Shadiest company ever. They must be in bed with the BBB as they wont let me file a complaint.
You'd want to read this before visiting this location! Beware!!! I'm warning you if this was the last option on your list for gym to go to I would recommend you do your workout at home. If you've ever visit this location in the past and had a better experience I'm letting you know now that this is NOT the same gym anymore. The LA Fitness in ****** ******* is a disgrace to the franchise. I am a teacher and I have a membership with LA Fitness and then signed a contract for a personal trainer so that I could improve my physical well-being. I started out with one trainer. Then I was given another trainer. He worked consistently for about 5 months. Then he started calling off and I was not getting my sessions. He came back then did the same thing again.
