LA Fitness intentionally makes dealing with them difficult. I emailed to cancel my account and was told I had to go I to the store. They are now continuing to withdraw dues from my account and take entirely too long to respond to email.
August 23, 2021 I went to work out at the LA Fitness on *************************************** - upon not even being there an hour a receive a text message that fraudulent activity may be happening on my credit card come to find that someone had broken the lock that was on my locker and stole my personal possession. Rather than actually assisting me and giving me some sort of informed help, I was basically thrown down a rabbit hole of paper work and contracts. I simply asked if I could use my VIP guest pass, which I could totally do on my phone, giving my girlfriend 14 days and allowing us to easily access the gym to work out. Scammers, I came in November 2020, asked to cancel my membership and my wife's membership. Fast forward to this year, they 'reactivated' the accounts. I spent 20 minutes on the phone for nothing until I was handed over to the manager who said they would not refund me except one month, claiming emails were sent out. LA FITNESS has the worst cancellation process in the history of gyms. It took me less than 5 minutes to sign up online, yet I have to put in a leave request at work to meet their 9-5 membership cancellation window. They only do on-site cancellations Mon - Fri and only at specific locations. Guess which location doesn't accept cancellations. Yes, the one I belong to. A horrible, unprofessional, disrespectful place to do business.Management never returns phone calls when there is an issue or complaint they consistently blow you off but harasses you for payment.
The ******** location is always dirty, always understaffed, always unkept. The managers do not care about customers safety, hygienic condition of the establishment, or customers needs. The cleaning stations are always missing paper towels or cleaning solution. And to make matters worse, they do not have Air Conditioning, they haven't had it all summer. Extremely disappointed in this facility. Spent thousands of dollars there to be mocked, laughed at and disrespected by the staff. I told them I was no longer comfortable coming to their facility and no one cared, no one reached out.
Horrible ?? people! I went looking for a summer program for my child and paid an initiation fee the first and last month up front and when I canceled the account they did not let me use my last month and on top of that went on and charge me for membership right after I canceled everything! So yes they stole my money and I every time I went there to ask they all gave me a bunch of c*** Very dishonest and lack on integrity on their part. Ill never use this place again.
