Great gyros! – We have been regular patrons of this restaurant for a few years now. Their service is not always right on the mark but their food definitely compensates for any other deficiencies. We go for the gyros and split a chef's sampler. SO GOOD! They don' t have a liquor license so you can bring your own wine which is always nice.
Generally Good But Really Bad Pita Bread – I went for the first time for lunch on Saturday. I order the gyro and liked the meat but I don't like that it is rolled up like a burrito. I prefer the pita folded in half and filled. The rice was probably the best rice in town. However, my biggest let down was the pita bread. It was really thin, dried out and hard. Classics like baba ghanoush, hummus and gyros are combined with crisp Greek salads, falafel and baklava to make light and tasty meals. Lunch plates include a gyro or sandwich, plus salad and a choice of sides.
Not the same anymore! – Well, where to start. My husband and I have frequented this resturant quite often. After numerous occassion we got to know the owners. Ever since the sold and new management took over things have definitely taken a turn for the worse. For starters, the service was horrible. Service Needs improvement – Great location...nice patio and a BYOB policy is always nice. The food, however, could definitely be improved. The meat is dry and overcooked. And not just the chicken. Beef is overcooked as well. The one bright spot was the hummus. Smooth and wonderfully seasoned. With all of the Medi options in the area, I doubt I will return.
great food, SLOW service – overall I think this place is good. the hummus is great, not canned but fresh. all the beef dishes are great (kabobs and shwarma), but the chicken dishes are a bit dry. the greek salad is great too. HOWEVER, if you go on a sunny saturday or sunday afternoon, or even on an evening, be prepared to WAIT. it seems they usually have only 1 person waiting the whole restaurant and it seems to lag quite a bit.
I love this place! – I've become a regular...I love their sampler and strawberry juice! The staff is very friendly...great service! It's very affordable and for what you get...it's a steal! Their menu is great for vegetarians and their carnivore friends! I like to sit outside...they have good patio seating.
I Love La Fendee – This is a great, casual place to get some delicious Mediterranean food! It has a great ambiance and when the whether permits, sitting outside is very nice. I especially like the hookah service!
Great little place – I was sick of the terrible service we always get at the Meyerland Fadi's so I found this place on this site. Food is awesome. Servers there pay so much attention to you. Chicken Kabob sandwich plate was awesome. Atmosphere was nice. Place was very clean.
