La Cocina Mexican Restaurant is Great Place to Dine Absolutely delicious food. I had steak & shrimp which was cooked to perfection and it was excellent topped off by a Margaretta at $1.99 that night. How can you top that. Everyone else who was with us had Mexican food and raved about it. The portions were nice size and the price was very affordable. Very friendly service. Great place.
Love La Cocina! Exceptional, friendly service every time we visit! They offer a fresh salsa with the chips and will bring a deliciously, smoky hot chipotle salsa (salsa picamente) if requested in addition to the regular. Their prices are good...check out the 2 for 1 coupon on-line. The chicken quesadilla and chile rellenos are excellent. OK This restaurant is OK, but there are better Mexican restaurants for the money in Cary. The service was fair. Atmosphere is yellow colors and dark wood. Located on the corner of Lake Pine and Highway 64.

Will never go back again. The food is really good but I used by debit card to pay and once it cleared my account, the tip I added was increased without my authorization. I suppose it wasn't large enough for the waiter. It was a small addition, $2, but if he felt that way about others and added a tip to theirs, that adds up. No, will not go back and cannot mention this place without mentioning this event as well.
Good food, good prices, specials everyday. I have been going to LC for over 3 years now and their service has been great. There's only one or two waiter(s), that need to be fired but can't complain about the rest! They will not make you wait for an hour to bring your food out like they do at other restaurants. You will have your food on your table in less than 15 minutes :) That's why I like this place, good food (you will get a lot for a cheap price), great prices, and specials everyday!!!!
I got FOOD POISON from undercooked pink ground beef in a taco salad and ended up in ER with a bacterial infection of the colon after being deathly ill all weekend! After a CT SCAN and 2 strong antibiotics I still have gastro problems. Have had lunch fajitas and they simply rewarmed them from them sitting for hours outside of the frig. The HEALTH GRADE fluctuates wildly. Their English is very poor. The owner's daughter accused me of being a 'RACIST' when I said a waiter's didn't understand English.
