Great Food/Price/Service – I go to LaChatelaine at least 3 times per week because you just can't beat their bread and pastries in the morning and the great price on the gourmet dinner offerings at night. My favorite is when Chef Tad creates special occasion menus (that man is in my opinion the best chef in Columbus). The family that ownes and runs these restaurants are so warm and engaging once you have been there a few times they remember you by name and make you feel like family. I encourage anyone who has not had the plea... read more

Worst food I have ever eaten. Hands down. Really bad. – I was excited to try La Chatelaine for the first time, but I ended up seriously disappointed. The food was absolutely dismal. I have never tasted blander food. And it seemed to be very low-quality. The salmon was tasteless, the mashed potatoes were definitely made from a mix, and my boyfriend's steak was dry, flavorless, and came with the most generic, fast-food style fries. The only decent thing about our whole meal was the bread. The waiter did not bring us our salads... read more

Just like Europe, but with European prices! – I like this place mostly because it reminds me of Europe but it is really quite expensive for what you get. I have no idea how a bowl of soup, quiche and a water ends up being $15 bucks for lunch? The do have a great croque monsieur though! Recently I stopped there for dinner and was very disappointed. I felt that it was overpriced and not very good for a place claiming to have a CIA (Culinary Institute of America) chef. I would recommend their soups and stick to breakfast and lu... read more

Food looks beautiful, but tastes awful – The place looks so charming, cute, rustic and as you enter, you are greeted by all those beautiful pastries behind the bakery display. I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the restaurant was a big disappointment. The waitress was not the most friendly or helpful with menu when asked about certain items. We tried the flight of the wines which was ok... can't go terribly wrong with wines. We ordered french onion soup, but instead, we both got cream of mushroom soup. Not sure how that happen... read more

VERY BAD SERVICE AND FOOD, RUDE OWNERS – The experiences here at La Chatelaine are about the very worst I can ever recall having had in a restaurant. As a member of a social group, we held several small group lunches here simply because of the location and all of us have agreed we will NEVER go back to this place. The owners are RUDE, yelling and screaming at the staff and Gigi, the wife of the owner is the worst. This woman looks like she came out of some type of bordello or truck stop, bleached white hair, tacky, low class... read more

A staple in their community – I would just like to say that they are a staple in each community there in. La CHatelaine is a great true french restaurant and the owners are truly amazing! Stan and Gigi are great folks who give a lot of their time and effort to the community and customers. THe food is sooooo amazing and these restaurants have become a weekly if not daily routine for my family. La CHatelaine is an experience that transports you back to France. I love it -do not change

Fantastic local eatery! – I have been coming to La Chatelaine for years and I've had nothing but fantastic experiences! The owners genuinely care about their customers, employees and products. I have hosted large parties there before and the service has been wonderful each time. True, they are occasionally out of some items, but that's understandable when you have such a fresh and desirable product!

POOR SERVICE, OVERPRICED, Mediocre food at best – I just read the prior reviews and certainly can understand the situation and negative reviews. Having dined at the Worthington and Lane locations, I can attest to the fact that it is the same poor experience at both locations. The owners are rude and could care less about customers. I've heard them yell at employees, many of whom appear to be high school, college age students, and also customers. I witnessed the owner's daughter, Charlotte (overweight, dark haired young girl)... read more

Worst customer service in the United States – There are many businesses who strive to have good relations with their customers but this is not wone of them. They are almost abusive and even the atmosphere upon entering is negative. The negative reviews are not exaggerated. These people need to go back to France. You either go by their rules or else you are asked to leave. No, not asked, kicked out! This is an unbelievable place and their menu is almost the same as the day they opened the door. Try just buying a loaf of bread... read more
