Sometimes I used to "escape my teenagers" by staying at Sierra Suites and getting their "locals deal" that includes dinner at La Casita. Our family has been going there for over 20 years. I've had the pleasure of getting to know their family, as my son would even call them, Uncle Phil and Aunt Anita. They are a wonderful family, and the food is great. My condolences on your recent loss.
We thoroughly Taco Tuesday at La Casita. The food was great, very reasonably priced and the service was very good even though the restaurant was very crowded.

RecommendedShrimp tacos were to die for! Chicken mole was by far the best we have ever had.
It was all good! Margarita was awesome! I had the taco plate my husband had the special chimmychunga. Not sure if that was spelled right, lol. Little long wait but it was packed so expected.

Fun place, with colorful wall murals and bright splashes every where. The joint was packed for Taco Tuesday so I sat at the bar. Took a while to get served since the bartender was slammed but I got my beer soon enough. Chips and salsa followed and my order taken. Didn't take long, considering how busy and my carne asada chimichanga with green chili sauce arrived, piping hot and looking good.
