Been eating here since they opened 37 years ago. No better Mexican food I've ever had. Local favorite to many. Love La Carreta!
Green salsa was amazing and so was the shrimp fajitas....albondigas tasted canned sadly.
This is literally the only restaurant the Ginkel's ever go eat at. The service is absolute excellent, the food is even better but the salsa is the best I've ever tasted. You'll never be disappointed in anything you get.
The best Mexican dine-in restaurant in Alpine. The food is consistently good and no less than 4 people briefly stopped by to make sure we were enjoying the food and see if we needed anything. The mango margarita was delicious. The chili relleno had a thicker coating than I care for, but the enchiladas, rice, and beans were great.
Besides the slow, poor service...when we finally ordered that took 42 months minutes,just for the waitress to take our order . Another 30 to get the food . Had to ask for intensive, the tortillas that come with the fajita dinner which were dry & tasteless, we had to get up to ask for ice tea refills. Let's not forget this part MY HUSBAND AND I Both got food poisoning. I was vomiting from 1a.m. Til 6, & my husband spent a lot of time in the bathroom shortly after leaving.
Excellent service & great food, the owner is awesome!
