We waited forever for our waitress to order and and also to collect bill not once checking up on us. They got drinks and order screwed up. I ordered a chimi only. Brought out 2 deeply browned chunks with no sour cream,lettuce or avocado toppings! They also weren't very busy. Margaritas were just okay and expensive 10.00! Won't be back! Too many other Mexican places to go!

They have no organization, servers do not have sections, and make their own drinks so they are inconsistent. Took 10 minutes for someone to come up to us and ask “no one came up to you?” after being seated by a host who should have notified whoever’s turn it was, the restaurant was half empty and not busy. We must have been visibly upset because four other servers came up to us asking if someone had served us yet while waiting for our drinks. I had such a wonderful experience at La Cantina Bar & Grill! The tacos are absolutely delicious! I ordered Asada, Pastor, and Birria, and to my surprise, the tortillas were freshly made. The flavor and presentation were simply unmatched. I also tried the tres leches cake, which was incredibly tasty. What really made the visit special was the outstanding service. Since moving to Cedar Rapids, we’ve been exploring many Mexican restaurants, and this one is by far one of my favorites so far! Highly recommended.
