We stopped eating at the location because we felt the staff was rude, orders were incomplete and there was never an effort to resolve these problems. However, we loved the food. Mean miserable owner – I married an Italian (100%) because he is so handsome and besides I love Italian food along with the way the culture welcomes anyone in for a bite to eat always. Nasty People – I have been going here for years, because the food is decent (not great). Every time I go, no matter who I am with, it is extremely noticeable how miserable the staff is. Especially the OWNER. Tonight was the last straw. I showed up at 3:55 PM Fri for an early dinner and walk in. The miserable woman at the front tells me "we don't open till 4clock." I hate to do this.... – I hate to vent this way but I was sooooo disappointed. The food is really good, but the people that work there are heinous. My waitress was the owners' daughter. I was happy! She was not. I must have been interfereing with her evening. However when she got into a row with mama, I realized it wasn't me. Who wants to see that? The customer is always wrong – What successful restraurant doesn't go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction? La Campagnola. If you have a bad meal, forget about it. The management will not try to appease you in anyway even if it means losing your business. They definitely lost mine.
Love It – We heard alot of things about La Campagnola. Good and bad. I went with a group of people from work. There were six of us. We were seated right away. The fried calamari were the best I ever had. I order Chicken Marsala and I was great. Everyones food was excelent. Our waitress was the owners daughter Angela (i think). Her service was prompt and she was funny. Check on us regularly. I also had lunch the next day because of the leftovers. I have been back since. I LOVE IT
A hidden gem – I have dined, with a guest, at La Campagnola on two occasions. Both occasions were very rewarding. I thought the atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. The hostess greeted us warmly. and we were seated immediately. The menu is varied and interesting. I love this place – My boyfriend and I are both Italian and are always game for a good italian restaurant. They offer fast service and I've had many different meals off their menu and they've all been spectacular. Any friends or family I have brought here have absolutely loved the restaurant. They give you tons of food (i always take leftovers!) and it's very reasonably priced for the food you get. I would say most of the meals are $8-12 a plate, which includes salad, bread and dinner.
