One of my favorite memories of this place. I was standing in line next to a senior lady. She commented with a strong French accent that this bakery was the most authentic French pastry place in the Valley. I responded that it had been my favorite place since I was 19 years old. (Am now also a senior �.). After a pleasant exchange of small talk , she was called to place her order, she said Adieu. And kissed me on both cheeks. I hope I run into her again.
Great customer service, the coffee ☕️ is great and the pastrys are amazing next time I'm in Fresno I will definitely stop by again
Best bakery ever!! Have eaten at this place for the 30+ years I've lived in Fresno.
Since the new ownership we have noticed changes in the quantity and quality of the bread... The olive bread loafs appear to be about 25% smaller and todays purchase of rustic was not crunchy outside and tender inside as it use to be 100% of the time... It was not crunchy at all and strangely chewy. Not much competition in Fresno, but Le Bou previously could hold it's own with Bay area bakerys... Todays offering, not so much.
