Best Haircut on both Coasts! – I first read about Kyle Mathis Salon back in February and saved it in "My Favorites." I have been VERY skeptical to get a haircut in LA after a few bad ones. Kyle and hair = peanut butter and jelly (or oreos and milk, your preference) – For me, going to a great stylist is like going on a perfect date. Similarly, trying new stylists can be as painful as a string of very VERY bad dates. So when a trusted friend (with very good taste) recommended Kyle, I knew that I was in for a very good experience. Fantastic experience – I found Kyle through Citysearch (thank you to all the other reviewers) and was thrilled because his salon is so close to my house. The first time I went in, he and I had a conversation in which he asked me what I was looking for. I loved that he didn't just jump into the haircut, especially because I was looking for something different, and that he truly wanted me to be happy. KYLE MATHIS IS YOUR MAN!!!! – I usually wait until my 3rd visit to an establishment to write a review (past experiences, past mistakes), however, I am inclined to write nothing but positive news about Kyle Mathis. It is hard to find a stylist who can do everything, but with Kyle I have experienced perfect cut and perfect colour, every time. Awesome Salon – Kyle is great! Knowledgeable, listens to what you want, and most importantly very talented at cuts and color. Highly recommended for any and all of your hair needs. The salon is decorated very cool, extremely clean, and everyone there is so nice!!!

Salem is the best!!! – Love the Salon's location, a little hard to park but worth it. Salem has been doing my hair for a while now and I wanted to write a review of praise. My hair looks the best ever, the cut and color are amazing. I drive 2 1/2 hours to have my hair done by Salem and it is well worth the drive.

Horrible...... – I called this salon based on the reviews and asked for a color correction expert because I made my hair ash/greenish, and was referred to Salem. She listed attentively to me, and I showed her pictures of the color highlights that I wanted, and it seemed she understood. She made me feel confident that she could remove the green/ash and give me the medium golden brown base with golden brown highlights that I wanted. Worst haircut EVER!!!!! – Meticulous? Chic? Fun? These are three things that I did not experience at this Salon. I experienced horrible service and nothing but humility and belittlement. I witnessed other clients sitting silently while their stylist and the other stylists talked about their previous clients and who was Hot this month (celebrities) and who's dating who. Kyle Mathis is WONDERFUL – Kyle has been looking after me and my coif for several years now.
