Oil change "service" now dead engine. How? Oil filter not properly installed. The shop manager & front desk phone operator refuse to give shop insurance, upper management, or owner's contact information. As a female navigating the predominately male auto mechanic world its difficult finding a reputable & trustworthy shop for service. Went there yesterday for a conventional oil change because another Kwik Car location near my home had long wait. All other brand name locations in this area (Speedy Oil, Meineke, etc.) charge $29.95 for this service. I was surprised when the lady called me at the end of the oil change and asked for 39.95 plus taxes and fees. When I pointed out that other Kwik Car locations charge $29.95 for the same service, her response was, these are family owned franchises and every body has their own pricing. When I drive up to this place, the guy says, "WHADDA U WANT?" with a grouchy look. I kept my cool and said inspection, please. He yells, "IT'LL BE ABOUT 30 MINUTES TO DO IT," like he thinks I'm hard of hearing. (I'm 73 years old and female.) I say that's okay, and I'll walk next door for lunch. I do and go back. He says you have some serious problems -- leaking steering fluid and split windshield wipers. I say, "Show me." Very rude and disrespectful – I am not one to complain but I had to tell of my experience at this KWIK KAR OFF TRINITY MILLS. I took my car in to have the tune -up and oil change plus find out why it was running so loud, which I assumed it was the oil since the oil light was coming on. I just bought this car from a friend in December and it is 10 years old with over 100,000 miles on it but it's a good car, no problems, it just needed an oil change. Over charging – People, stay away from this place! I am new to the area so I called around to get some prices to get my oil changed. Kwik Kar was not the least but the shop looked good. Over the phone and at the door I was quoted 32.95 plus tax. As the car was being worked on I was told that my brake fluid was low, and that I needed a tire rotation. Great Job! – Our car hasn't seen any detailing in the past 3-4 years, and now that we're trying to sell it (which is in very good condition except for the dirt) I checked Citysearch, and found out Kwik Kar with good reviews... I dropped the car in the morning, got a warm and friendly welcome, and later got a "brand new" shining car. Thanks guys ... Great job!
