KUU Restaurant offers a sophisticated take on contemporary Japanese food. Adison Lee, the head chef, was mentored under the world-famous chef Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa. Lee combines this training with his own sensibilities to offer modern tapas, sushi and Japanese soups paired with luxury wines. Savor cold plates like King Crab Sunimono with Persian cucumber, hot plates such as Grilled Berkshire Pork and Butternut Squash Miso Soup. Do not miss the sashimi and sushi specials like Sake Toro and Hirame served with Shiso leaf. T... read more

Friend at work recommended the place. We drove 20 min during our lunch break to try it. I can't wait to go back. We sampled a few dishes and fell in love. Yes! Fell in love: presentation 5 stars, taste 5 stars, service 5 stars. Not cheap, but by far great value for the money. We loved the smoked duck&the kuu roll the most. Modern look and great location although a bit hidden in the new development. Look forward to going back for happy hour! :)

Really good food. Great service. Over priced
The best sushi in Houston I've had so far after being spoiled by sushi on the west coast.
Business response:
Thank you, Victoria!
They have the best sushi, sake, calamari, and bartenders in town, my favorite restaurant and it's next door to my job.
