Dr. Kurzweil is everything one wants in a physician. He is skilled in diagnosis and treatment, has a wonderful bedside manner, and a gentle touch (very important in a urologist!) His explanations are clear and thorough. I most highly recommend him.

The office staff, nursing professionals and medical assistance were extremely kind and respectful. Dr. Kurzweil, for excellent reasons, based on my cardiologist recommendation, advised against a procedure, based on a risk benefit assessment. I found dr. Kurzweil relatable, honest and prudent.
Such gentleman as authors this review found this doctor in some ways relatable, and in other ways unrelatable. An appearance of hubris in the examining room may have influenced my perception. I dislike being asked questions which I am not given the opportunity to answer. At the same time I am grateful for doctors such as this man putting themselves on the line with so much at risk and diving in to very challenging situations. Showed up in the ER with kidney stones.. Twice.. Dealt with a number of docs during that time, but when Dr Kurzweil showed up, I knew the moment he examined me, he was the real deal . A very talented and knowledgable Doc and surgeon.... Did my procedure and follow ups.. Highly recommended, and I don't hand them out easily....

He is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever seeing my life. He came in as if he was totally bored and did not want to listen to anything I had to say. He was incredibly rude interrupting me when I tried to talk about my medical history as if I was bothering him. The worst most unprofessional and uncaring doctor I have ever met. Afterwards, Their office tired to bill me over and over for a visit I had already paid for. Even after calling them and telling them Blue Cross said I owe nothing, they kept on trying to bill me. My experience with Dr Kurzweil has been very good. But my impression of VV Med Center- Urology is "average to poor." Long back ups in waiting room. Some employees are pleasant and competent; others not. Here's my greatest issue. If you are ever called for jury duty, but urinary problems may render you unable to serve, don't expect VV Med Center-Urology to fill out a very brief request form for Medical Waiver from jury service. I went to Dr. Kurzweil for over a year for pain. He put me on antibiotics for a short period of time twice, with no improvement. In fact, the pain became quite intense, so after more than a year I decided to see another Dr. This Dr. put me on an extended regimen of antibiotics and six weeks later I am pain free. Also, Dr, Kurzweil advised a prostate biopsy, but neglected to inform me that prostate biopsy can cause blood clots. Ten days after my biopsy a clot formed and I had a major heart attack

He is the best. He got me through some times (with cancer), and I really value him. He is also a really good man.
Was fortunate to receive referral from Dr. Butman [my cardio] in 2014. All experience postitive. Rare bedside manner. Very empathic - hates to give rectal exam but always asked first. LOL
