My dad had surgery with Dr. Hulen six weeks ago, and from the very first consultation, he demonstrated great empathy and professionalism. We are very happy with the results of the surgery, which was a cervical fusion with laminectomy. I wouldn't wish this type of surgery on anyone, but if you ever need it, don't hesitate for a moment to make an appointment with Dr. Hulen. We are very satisfied with the results.
We saw Dr. Hulen for the first time today 12/10/25 and my wife and I both thought he was outstanding! His explanation of my issue and clear and concise explanation on how we could correct it was comforting. He took the time to answer our questions, and we did not feel rushed. His staff is also amazing. Nobody wants to have a cervical/spinal issue, but if you do, I would highly recommend Dr. Hulen.
Super nice and thorough prior to surgery, but basically disappears afterwards. I feel worse now than before surgery and office staff terrible at responding to calls and emails. Only responding saying to go to pain management. Wow.
My appointment was scheduled for today, but someone reached out to me Friday stating it had to be canceled. Very unprofessional...They had a month if there were any discrepancies. Totally unacceptable.
