We received an estimate for replacing a broken garbage disposal for $750. We asked for an estimate if we were to remove it instead, and we could later replace it. The estimate was $135 to remove it. We said to please remove it and we can replace it later. The final cost for removing the garbage disposal ended up being the initial service call plus $572 to remove due to the cost to fill the hole in the sink and then $190 to an electrician to cap it off.
