DO NOT BUY BLACK DIRT from this company. We’ve purchased 14.5 yards of black dirt for a garden bed and to reseed our lawn. That’s $500 worth of dirt plus two delivery fees. Shortly after receiving the dirt it rained and the next day the dirt looked like sand (when it rains the dirt and sand separates) which tells you that it was mixed with big amounts of sand. I would recommend krooswyk for their rock and other landscape materials, but would not recommend them for their soil. It has been nothing but problems in our garden. Lots of grass and weeds growing from within. Choose Allen or somewhere else for soil. 2 stars because they are reasonable on quick deliveries.
I needed an extremely small amount of stone for a special project. Other landscapers wouldn't sell less than a yard of loose stone or by the bag only. Krooswyk came through for me. They're awesome. Thanks so much!
Needed some black dirt to fill in some low areas along my sidewalks. Krooswyk had it by the bag at a reasonable price and when I got home and cut the first bag open I was astonished at how good it was. Rich, soft, black dirt. I'm definitely going back for more later this week.
