I had switched to a different Kroger years ago after problems with a large, unnamed pharmacy chain (with three letters as the name). I found Kroger to be dependable, fast, and much nicer to work with. There are still some decent folks at the Beaumont Kroger Pharmacy, but I'm just entirely fed up with their hours (including closing at 3p on Saturdays and the entire pharmacy closing for lunch daily), with the drive through just being randomly closed, and issues getting through when there is an issue. Very kind workers and take a reasonable amount of time to fill prescriptions
Very poor communication. The doctor called in the prescription, in Kroger says they sent a fax back to the doctor's office for more information. Doctor says he did not get the fax. But why didn't Kroger follow up? It is the patient that is caught in the middle and doesn't know that the prescription wasn't filled, and then when the patient shows up and it's not ready, the pharmacist blames the doctor. They never answer the phone. I called & let it ring for over 6 mins, with no answer. They never send notifications when Rx ARE ready. I guess it’s bc the script is never ready when they’re supposed to be. No matter when the Rx is called in, when you go to pick it up, that’s when they start to fill it. I waited over an hour for my prescription pickup and the pharmacist barely acknowledged me. When I asked why it was delayed, all I got was “it’ll be ready soon.” Poor communication and painfully slow service. Not worth the hassle.
