This was the first visit for my 4 year old son. Dr. Futrell was up front when we walked in, and he greeted us and connected with my son right away. When the hygienist came to get us, my son was eager to go back and check things out. He sat in the chair and the hygienist showed him the tools she was going to use before she touched his mouth. She was gentle and talked to him about everything she was doing. This made a BIG impression on my son. Dr. Steve was the same way when he came in the room. Attention Dental Phobes!! I've been afraid to go to the dentist since I was a little kid having to go to the local health department...don't ask. Anyway, I try to avoid the dentist as much as possible especially if the office personnel are rude, unkind, or unempathetic but I know this isn't good for me so I am constantly on the search for the right dentist to fit my needs and make me feel comfortable.
