This is my 2nd time seeing this doctor and it will be the last time. Completely unprofessional in every way. He speaks in a condescending tone and barely ever lets you get a word in. How can you diagnose me properly if you don’t give me the opportunity to speak? He did this at both my in-person and virtual/phone appt. Dr. Kovats is everything I could hope for and then some. Appointment was 5 minutes early, Dr was pleasant, knowledgeable of potential medications changes in the future, listened without interruption (I have a speech impediment), explained everything perfectly, quick, sharp intellect, courteous but quick. I’ve found my new PCP!
All I'm going to say is that this guy has a very bad temper. I corroborated this by speaking to some of his staff who also agreed. His exact words to me on the phone were "if you talk over me I'm going to slam the phone on you". I have never seen a doctor talk to his patients that way. It's time to move on. Patients beware
By far the BEST doctor I have EVER been to. He listens and is incredibly knowledgeable easy to book a quick appointment the staff is also top notch. I read reviews before I made an appointment and I would drive from out of state to visit him also. I was injured at work sent to a Dr. who saw me 6 times did zero tests, scans or xrays on me. Dr. Kovats immediately sent me to get an mri and bloodwork. Three slipped discs and pinched nerves. I requested a refill on my Ulcerative Colitis medicine while I am stuck out of town with a very bad flare. The flare is so bad I cannot leave the house and do not know when I will be able to return to Florida because of it. The Dr refused to help me out and told me to go to an urgent care to have them refill it. I will never go back to this guy again and wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
I KNOW DR KOVATS FROM HIS PRACTICE IN OVIEDO FLORIDA. HE WAS MY DOCTOR FOR OVER 15 YEARS. HE WAS FANTASTIC!!! VERY CARING, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FRIENDLY!!!! I MISS HIM!!!
