Kourous Rezaei, MD is a superb retina specialists. His excellent academic preparation in ophthalmology is commendable. University teaching, academic presentations, research and genuine concern for the the patient are all reasons for him to be the number one retinal specialist in northwest Indiana and the Chicago area.

As an employee at Illinois Retina I was having some vision problems and Dr Rezaei right away examined me. It turned out that I had a retinal tear. Dr. Rezaei and staff were AWESOME!! They made me feel at ease and comfortable!! I knew by working at Illinois Retina that Dr. Rezaei was looked at in high regard by his patients. He truly is one of a kind and an excellent Retinal Specialist!! Thank you so much Dr. Rezaei!!

I’ve been seeing Dr MacCumber for 5 or so years now to follow retina issues I’ve had in the past. Based on both the referrals I originally had to see him and, more importantly, my own personal experience, I have every confidence in being in his care.

Although the support staff and nursing team are exceptional, they seem to over compensate for this doctor's poor patient care. He has never inquired about patient's other health issues and on our first visit assumed we spoke another language. There is always a long wait for services and when we finally meet, he rushes us in and out and does not pay time and attention to the patient. I had various eye tests because, I had issues with vision, dry eye and busted, bleeding blood vessels behind the right eye. Early signs of retinopathy also.
