Dr. Harward was my OB/GYN to my first pregnancy with my child back in 2024. He had really wonderful reviews, so I went to see him and the nurses recommended him. I had no issues during our appointments, even though they were short and quick he was informative. But I had a really awful birth, at Orem Community Hospital and I’m sure some of it was the hospitals fault and just miscommunication, but some of it felt like malpractice as well. I hate to think my review may impact Kory's work or family, but women need to know that in my case, he didn't take my concerns seriously which almost resulted in the death of my first baby: I told Dr. Harward that I had significant family history of severe preterm labor, and that I was really worried it would be the case for me. He brushed it off and said he couldn't give me anything preventative unless he could see there was a problem. Dr. Harward delivered my first baby in 2022. Overall, I’d say he was a cautious provider who cares about his patients. However, there was some poor communication following my delivery that prevented me from giving him a five star review. Keep reading for more details. If you are wanting to have a natural, unmedicated birth, don't go with Dr. Harward. But if you're okay with lots of interventions, he might be a good fit for you. When I was 36+5, he said I should be induced between 37 and 38 weeks because I had too much amniotic fluid, though the risks of something bad happening are very very low. I said I preferred not to be induced, and then he proceeded to tell me all the horrible things that could happen if I wasn't induced, with no bedside manner at all.
