Such a huge support for my duaghter and i when we just couldn't get into counseling soon enough and were having issues. We just needed a break from eachother and we really support on how to communicate better with eachother. It also helped her to see that other kids had it alot worse than she does and to hear foem other adults and kids that her rules and boundries at home werent so bad made her really think about how good she has it...considering. This is a wonderful place giving teens a real chance at growing in a nurturing and loving environment with the structure needed to excel and prepare for adult life.
I owe my life and who I am today because of Koinonia. Starting with the group home as a resident, to a foster home and then an opportunity to give back all I gained as a staff member at the group home! Koinonia was and will always be one of Gods greatest gifts to me. I found him and his love!
I so miss working here. It's been so long ago.
I successful left koinonia almost three years ago and still sober to this day what a great program!
