I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I had the tendon (tempura on rice with sauce), but the tempura was soggy and the sauce was bland. The rice was way too mushy too. Sushi was typical but way overpriced. Ended up spending $80+ and came away totally dissatisfied. I grew up eating Japanese food all my life; I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I didn't want to give them any stars?
My husband and I wanted to go out to a new place to eat because we were tired of the same old thing. Figuring that since we were going to a movie later in Hendersonville, we thought it would be convenient to go to Kohana. The place was very empty but considering it was a Sunday, we were not really surprised. The place has a nice Asian flare, but I was left feeling cold with the white paint and dark blue seats.
