The Koffee Kup Family Restaurant is a Central Texas landmark. Having been in the Allen family since1970, Lynn Allen has owned it since 1975. We are a full service restaurant, open 6:00 am until 9:30 pm everyday except Christmas Eve and Day. We offer three separate dining areas, a complete menu and seating of 116. From eggs and pancakes, to lunch specials to specialty burgers made on our own homemade buns to Black Angus rib-eyes. Everyone can find what they're looking for.

The restaurant is very dirty, it took 30 mins to get food, cold eggs over cooked sausage, pancake taste like glue, waitress never came around to check on anything.
Wonderful chicken fried steak and onion rings!!!! Real food real friendly folks!
Just as I remembered it as a kid. Love this place and that Black Forest pie! I'm glad I was able to share this experience with my son. We're both military and I don't get to get out this way much anymore. So, to be able to share some of my old memories with him over your famous chicken fried steak and that pie, priceless.
If they are busy, service is slower, but last time we stopped in heading back to SA , our waitress chased us out to the parking lot, I had forgotten my ice tea that she had put in a Togo cup for me. Pie is so so but burgers and steak fries are awesome.
I stopped in on my way home tonight after a several hour drive and a couple more to go. I ordered onion rings and a hamburger. I'm certain by the looks being passed around that my food was either forgotten as "to-go", or that it was made and forgotten. My food was not even "warm" and the bottom hamburger bun was completely soggy! I also watched who appeared to be a manager(?) repeatedly touch her face and hair in the kitchen area, and she also came around the counter and grabbed a Peppermint Patty, opened it and popped into ... read more
When you drive through Hico on the way to Austin, make sure you stop and get a chocolate pie. Take cash, they don't accept credit cards.
Have ate there several times. Enjoyed the food and had no problems
