I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are here, this place was excellent. We made a reservation for 2 on a Friday night at 6:45, and were seated right away. The waitress was prompt and attentive, and we had drinks and water within minutes. There were some others at our table, which is to be expected at a hibachi restaurant, but they were friendly. We ordered the sirloin steak and the scallops. We also opted for the fried rice (totally worth the extra 2 dollars). The chef came out very shortly after we had ordered, and h... read more
Great Hibachi Grill, wonderful atmosphere and good sushi, too.
yummy!!!
We received great service and the food was fresh and delicious. Hibachi servings are generous and there were a lot of variety with rolls, sushi and sashimi.
We went here on a Saturday night for a date night, and had a great time. The hibachi experience is a little cheesy, but it was perfect for a date, and we sat with another couple and a family that made the entire dining experience very entertaining. We started with the Edamame and Shumai apitizers, and both were delicious. The Hibachi shrimp and steak dinners were delicious, fresh and of course fun to watch being made! We did not partake in the sushi bar upstairs, but the Hibachi dining was in a dining room downstairs, and de... read more
I live in Richmond and wanted to make sure that this restaurant got it's due. It's easily my favorite restaurant in Richmond. My fiancee and I go at least twice a month. FOOD: The food is great. Much better than any of the "chain" japanese hibachi style places you'll find. Each entree comes with a salad, soup and shrimp appetizer. The filet melts in your mouth and is easily worth the $2-3 more than the regular steak. ATMOSPHERE: Very intimate for a hibachi style restaurant. The hibachi tables are downstairs. Upstairs you wil... read more
I went to Kobe a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the whole dining experience. The atmosphere was very calm and our server was excellent. The ginger salad was very good and my boyfriend really liked the miso soup. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and it came with rice, fried sweet potatoes, and some other vegetables. Everything was really good except my chicken was overcooked. I didn't mind because the sauce was very good and the vegetables were fantastic. I would definitely reccomend this place!
Just moved back to richmond and this was the first place I went. The Food is consistently good and the staff is very friendly. Our habachi chef gave the whole table free Saki Bombs!!!
Came to Kobe to meet a friend on a quiet Tuesday night. There are two levels; the upper- with regular tables and a sushi bar, and the lower- with hibachi tables. The ceiling was painted a galaxy blue, and plenty of ambient lighting. We ordered a sushi boat, which was plenty for two people. We struggled to finish it all. But it was all so yummy, we had to! They have a nice selection of alcohol. I would definitely want to try their hibachi out next time. Can't wait to go back!
