I remember when this restaurant used to be on W. Liberty Ave. back in the late 70s when I was a kid I went there all the time. I tried this one today on Potomac Avenue and quite frankly I was super surprised when I saw all the good reviews. The gyro was nothing like the one I remember from the 70s hardly any meat on it, tasted more like bread than a pita, no shredded iceberg lettuce but chopped up romaine or some other type lettuce, the tzatziki sauce, yuck. Killer. Killer. I got this 5$ gyro. I didn't need too much, just something to get me by. It hit the spot. Delicious. I felt better immediately. And the guys running it. Class. Worth your stop.
Great food and service. Very cool shop. Will have to come back to try the homemade soft serve!
Coffee for mom and ice cream for my kids has never been better! This place is a true gem. From the craftsmanship of the interior to the kind faces that meet you upon arrival, I am so glad Knossos has made its way to Dormont.
