My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer on April 2 of this year. In early May she had a cancer related event that caused her to fall, sending us to the emergency room and resulted in me staying with her 24/7. I knew I had to protect her from another hospital visit - it wasn't bad, but it wasn't the care she needed. Knights of Comfort prided the hospice care at home for my wife. We brought Sajida home from MD Anderson Houston on Friday evening and the Knights of Comfort team was ready with all the equipment required from her comfort to receive her. Knights of Comfort was exactly the hospice team my dad and our family needed. Waldo spent more than an hour on the phone with me during the first consultation regarding my dad. He was thoughtful and took the time to understand who my dad was before becoming sick. Waldo visited my dad continually during his hospice care, along with his amazing staff. Our family had the misfortune of having two of us sick at the same time. But we were blessed to have Waldo and the Knights of Comfort team. They cared for the sick ones and the loved ones (adults, children, and even our pets). Waldo guided us through the loss of our mother then our sister less than a month later. Two very different people but Waldo looked after them with love and wisdom. He was able accommodate each in the way she needed at the time. We will be forever grateful for Knights of Comfort!
