Dr Ellis is a great dr and has been taking care of me and my daughter for 5 years. This dr has been doing house calls in physician shortage areas and caring for welfare pts in his own office for many years; something most physicians won't or can't afford to do anymore. Kim the office manager is very personable and she always helps with refilling my daughters meds. The nice thing about Dr Ellis is that he really helps me keep things in check. Great doctor, went in there to see him. He took time with me and listened to everything that was going on. Dr Ellis said that he could help me with my lungs, and he did. He is very caring and he and is not rude. If you are looking for a real doctor see him. I recommed him highly
I do not recommend anyone to Dr. Ellis. My experience with this office was not professional. He was rude, ignorant, uncaring and after waiting for hours in his office, I left without receiving any medical help whatsoever. The only good that came out of my visit there was the fact that I knew I'd never be returning and found a much more professional and capable doctor.
It was surprise to find a real old fashioned doctor willing to do house calls! Dr Ellis even let's people come in without appointments, you might wait along time but it's worth it. He really listened to me and figured out why I was sick, put me in the hospital, and made sure I wasn't in there forever. When you find a good dr, it's worth gold!
Dr Ellis was the only doctor who took the time to find decent home hospice care for my mother and he really supported us during this time. He is a devoted man! He really tries to help people. Our family always recommends Dr. Ellis to our friends.
Dr Ellis is the best! I'm writing to tell everyone that he actually cares for the underprivileged!! He is one of the only drs in south phila that accepts welfare in a private office. He tries to get people off drugs. You've gotta hand it to them, they care. My kid went there and even though his behavior would not be tolerated normally, Dr Ellis pulled him together. Now my son even went back to school. I can't repay him enough! If you sincerely want help, he's there.
Dr Ellis has no tolerance for narcotic drug seeking patients. I have seen many an angry patient leaving his office empty handed. I think it's the nature of the welfare population he tries to help. Any complaints about this doctor such as below will never never come from sincere patients. He is the best- -he even does house calls and I and my family have been among the many patients that adore him!!!!! These lousy patients don't respect the waiting room which his staff keeps comfortable and clean!!!
awful, unorganized, THEY DO NOT CARE – i tried transferring to this clinic after moving to Philadelphia from another nearby state.... i have never been so angry and never felt so degraded in my life, and i have been to a total of 3 different clinics before this one, so i have seen how several different places operate. first, the check in system isn't even computerized-they have an old lady at the front door who hands you a laminated numbered card when you walk in, because that's what number in line you'll be. so you walk in,... read more
FILTHY DOCTORS OFFICE – Adam Ellis is an awful man!! I won't even give him the respect of calling him a doctor. He treated me so horribly I have reason to believe it was unethical and I filed a complaint with the state medical board! First of all his office is FILTHY! The receptionist was rude and I waited 45 minutes to be seen. Please do not go to his disgusting place!!
