A trip back in time. – A great way to end a trip to the steel city. It was great to take a step back in time visiting an old school ice cream parlor. The ow\ner Ray was a great pleasure to talk to, My family had a great time there. A definite stop next time we are in the steel city. The staff was great as well as the throw back candies.
A Must See! – The ambience makes it. There are all the old-time ice cream favorites. Sundaes, cones, floats. There are great sugar-free choices, too. Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor is just another reason why living close to the city is great. A sense of neighborhood and great neighborhood places like Klavon's are big reasons I love city living.
Step inside and whiz back to a simpler time to, say, oh, 1925. – The Scene Klavon's (sounds like "glove-on," suggests the owner) is an old fashioned ice cream store. The store boasts an original 16-foot solid marble soda fountain, Coca-Cola bottle cap stools and original art deco decor. Love it!!! – I love this place. It is really a nice change from the ordinary. The inside feels like you came right from the 50s. The ice cream is pretty good but the floats are tremendous.
