I had a big problem: my brother died intestate (no will) and his “house” (dilapidated shack in reality) was over an hour from my home in Vancouver. Oh, and he was a bona fide, as seen on TV, HOARDER. What to do. My attorney recommended KJK. Kathryn was exceptional! She arranged for a crew to clean up the overgrown lot, and then to muck out the house. Kathryn is truly exceptional. She went above and beyond every step of the way. She managed issues behind the scenes that we weren’t even aware of, spent weekends and evenings to make sure our deal stayed on track, and even brought her family along to help when needed. Her dedication and persistence made all the difference in an extremely sensitive negotiation that I am certain would have fallen through with anyone else. Thanks to Kathryn, we were able to get our dream home. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I do not recommend dealing with this company! We have only bad memories with them. We rented a house from them, and when we moved out, we handed it over in perfect condition and they returned our deposit. But a few days later, they sent us a bill for a faulty toilet that was there initially. Naturally, I did not have photos to prove that it had been like that since the day we moved in. Stay away from KJK Properties Management if you can! Sherry is nice enough when you are renting, but after you move out, they have done all that they can to extort additional money. Not only did they illegally withhold the security deposit ($750), they attempted to charge an additional $675 for standard wear and tear items like painting, cleaning, and items left in the basement (from old tenants, not from us). Their website SUCKS! I saw a house with their sign but when I go to look on their own site, ya get nothing for listings. They want you to contact them directly. SORRY but NO!
