Continuously have terrible experience with the firearm department's customer service, condescending and rushed are two words that come to mind. They are knowledgeable about handguns but, in my experience, that is it. If you're looking for quality service and product, your time would be better spent at LL Bean.
Top notch service from a dedicated staff of professionals in the gun department. They always go out of their way to make my transactions there smooth. From optics recommendations and mounting to finding just the right ammunition for the game I am pursuing, these folks get it right every time!
I have read some of the reviews here and it seems that the gun store part of it has the worst reviews. I went there yesterday for the first time and could have spent thousands of dollars on stuff I liked and needed but I left without spending a penny. The senior sales guy could not have been more disinterested in making a sale. The store was a little busy but I don't know if everyone there was making a purchase or just browsing. Had to exchange a pair of Carolina boots I bought at the store in October. Couldn't find my receipt so you mailed me one, sent the boots out last Tuesday and got a brand new pair back today. If it was one of the other outdoor outfitters it would have been a month. You guys are great and we can't wait to make our yearly visit in July!

Horrible costumer service at the gun dept. I've bought two guns there and will not go back. I bought an M&P9, and they would not sell me the model with night sights, because they only sell night sights to law enforcement officers...what kind of a policy is that...And then they sold me an M&P9 that was MA compliant with a 10lb trigger. I won't buy another gun from them.
Another great experience at KTP! Purchased two Giant road bikes during a great summer sale at KTP. The salesperson was helpful, listening to understand our riding style and goals, he helped us find the right bike for our needs. The bikes were fitted and set up in the shop while we waited- even to the finishing touch of water bottle holders! That KTP experience was so nice, we recently purchased downhill skis, boots & bindings. They are beautiful- can't wait to see them skimming over snow on the slopes!

Absolutely favorite store to shop in. The choices are endless and the prices are very competitive. The customer service I received in the shoe department last week was outstanding. The two woman helping me were very knowledgeable about their brands. I stopped by the fudge counter and a wonderful young lady offered me a sample. It was wonderful, I had to buy some to share with my family! Thanks KTP for a great shopping experience!!

Horrible customer service by their Gun Dept. I spent $1,000 on a new shotgun, $150 on a rifled barrel $450 on a scope & $65 on mounts & had them mount everything. Two weeks later a screw fell out of the mount. I brought it over & after waiting 45 minutes to see someone I was told by two different employees that they couldn't do anything. I called the manager & his excuse was that they were busy. He told me I could come back midweek & he would take a look @ it.
