A charming little restaurant, the Kitchen Story is a hot favorite among the locals of Castro. Specializing in authentic Californian cuisine, this restaurant serves some really good dishes for breakfast, lunch as well as dinner. Tilapia burger, Caprese panini, Hellenic salad and Frisco Benedict are the most scrumptious delicacies on their menu. Cozy ambiance and friendly service add to the dining experience.

I got to take photos for Kitchen Story yesterday and I was absolutely blown away by not only the attention to detail they put into each dish -- but the genuine warmth, love and care they gave to their customers. That wait might be long, but it's worth it knowing the food will be tasty and the business goes to people who are great to each other and the community :)!

Lovely, comfortable eatery with a pleasant staff and really fine food. It all appears to be relatively conventional American cuisine but the Asian (Korean) touches put it over the top. Can you say "Kim chi pico de gallo?" You won't find parking even on an off day so taxi/uber there or take transit. Be aware of incredibly precious people who seem to flock here. Actually it's very entertaining to listen to the man-buns food-splaining the gym-bunnies.

Food is good but a bit overrated/overpriced - both for brunch and dinner
