Great food/bands Kitchen Pass is one Joplin's nicest bar/restaurants, and the atmosphere is unrivaled. They book excellent local jazz/blues groups who make it a great experience even if the food was not amazing, which it is.

I was hoping to speak with someone about booking a stand-up comedy show sometime. I headline all over America so if you're interested in some alternative, cheap entertainment guaranteed to keep patrons buying drinks and food, I'd love to work out the details with you. Basically, if you've ever had enough room for karaoke, a live DJ, or even trivia night- you have enough room for stand-up comedy.
