We have been dining here for over 20 years, maybe longer. Recently the original owner sold the business, and nothing other than the venue remains the same. The staff used to be mostly Asian, and now they aren't, not even the cooks. Therein lies the problem. Ever been to a Japanese restaurant that DOESN'T make great tempura? What about bad teriyaki? I used to work at Kishi back in 2009 and since then I've missed the food and the atmosphere. I have to say I have been unable to find sushi that could compete with this restaurant. Love you guys, you were like my second family Jeffery San, Peter San, Hitomi San, Gak San, and Antonio San.
We have been going to Kishi for 15 years. Peter sold it, and at first things seemed to be the same. Today we went back for the Chicken Teriyaki Special, it is no longer made with chicken breast. They used Chicken thigh meat, very, stringy and very fatty. The salad dressing tasted off, and I told the waitress it didn't taste good . She just giggles and walks away.
