The food is good. It’s just not great. Service is not particularly friendly. There is a fun vibe; that old school, local while in the wall.
Kirchhoff's was recommended. I got a French baguette and a chess bar at the bakery. Total $7.80. which I thought was kind of high. There really wasn't much varied selection at the bakery. One case was pretty much just different types of cookies. The other case chess bars ,lemon bars etc. I did see a few Danish. There are some of the artisan breads on a shelf behind cashier area. Lunch stop on a road trip. You MUST eat here. Chicken salad is a 10/10. Famous club is enormous. Bakery and coffee shop are attached. Wish we had a place like this in my home town!
We were in Paducah for 5 days and went here twice for lunch. You can't beat the quality of their sandwiches, from the bread to the meats and cheeses. The bakery next door sells cookies, pastries, and breads. Holy smokes - best bread I have ever had. I brought one loaf of bread home and it didnt make it past the first night. I should have bought five.
I purchased several items for a baby shower brunch. Everything was delicious.
