An Unassuming Secret – I saw an average review for Kinhdo, and I had to protest. This place is one of the best kept secrets of the cities that's right in front of everyone's nose. Although the decor and exterior aren't quite as glitzy as some places down the street and the cuisine doesn't have the cute dollop of brie cream garnished with frisee that you find downtown, the food is so fresh and fantastic, that you'll be surprised the bill is half of what you'd spend someplace fancier. Best eggrolls – I could do shots of their fish sauce! So tasty. The Lemon Grass Beef is one of my favorites as well. I've always gotten good service there. I'm eating take out from Kinhdo tonight! Yum.
Average Asian – The title describes it. Food here is average with their menu ranging between Vietnamese and American-Chinese. If you're not discriminating and just hungry for something other than burgers n fries, than this is a decent place. If you're hunting for genuine Asian cuisine, go somewhere else. On the bright side, prices are decent and servings are generous.
Best Asian in Minnesota – Kinh Do has been my favorite asian restaurant since I was 6 years old. I grew up eating the sauteed beef with potatos. If you have kids, they will probably love it...just remember to hold the onions. That is still my favorite dish to get their. They really do have the best egg rolls I've ever tasted and I love their fish sauce...I've tried to make it at home but I never get it just right. Fresh ingredients and bountiful flavors – My wife & I both love Kinhdo, because everything we get there always taste fresh. Unlike other asian restaurants (strip mall variety) Kinhdo uses fresh vegetables and higher quality meat. The lemon grass beef is a personal favorite, because it has such a great aroma and flavor and the Pad Thai is some of the best in the TwinCities. We only get take out so I cant tell you what the service is like in the restaurant.
Great Food – This has been a favorite for as many years as they have been in business. The food is excellent and there is something for everyone. I take out-of-town vistors here as a matter of course, and they beg to go back. The servers are not always the most prompt, but it fits the style of this wonderful laid back place. BEST egg rolls! – My favorite egg roll in the Twin Cities! Everything else is good and fresh but just above average. Need more rice noodle dishes. Did I write how much I love the imperial egg rolls here??
Yummy Vietnamese/Asian – My brother and I were looking for a good inexpensive place to chow down and I took him to Kinhdo. We loved our waitress, who was speedy and adorable as well as efficient. Our Spring Roll appetizer was excellent (as always). And we had one pork and one shrimp entree, both of which were outstanding. I've always had good food and service at this location and my brother thought it was one of the best places he'd eaten (visiting from Philadelphia).
