Repairing transmissions isn't easy! We've been open since 1987 and have learned that the number one qualification for excellent service is the experience of the technicians. At King's, each of our technicians has over 20 years of experience. All that experience means we're well equipped to repair or rebuild any automatic or standard transmission; foreign or domestic. In addition we also offer repairs on transfer cases, differentials and axles.

Honest, honest, honest! – A few months ago I had my truck in to the Ford dealership for a recall repair. When they called me to say it was ready, they informed me that my transmission fluid was contaminated (scary word, right?) and I should have the transmission flushed ASAP....for about $400.00. Read reviews carefully – These guys keep telling you to read their reviews. I'd tell you to read the reviews very carefully. How many other reviews have these people written? How many 3 and 4 star reviews are there? Why are they all 5 stars? How "normal" do these reviews sound? Do the reviewers seem typical with real problems and real descriptions? Look at the reviewer called wacker. "he" reviews both Barr transmission and Kings transmission, on the same day. (barr and kings are in the same facility). In one review he's a ma... read more

Seattles transmission-saviours – My car started being jumpy and I believed it had something to do with my transmission. I asked a couple of my relatives who has lived in Seattle for several years, and they sent me to the guys at Barr Transmission. They offered me a complete and thorough check-up of the transmission.
